Our Classes
Below is a list of all the classes we offer with a brief description of what to expect! Each class is carefully structured to be suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.
Pilates Reformer
Reformer Pilates is done using the reformer machine and is generally more intense and more dynamic than mat based Pilates as it adds resistance to the Pilates exercises via the use of the springs. Reformer Pilates works on core stabilization as well as muscle endurance, joint stability, muscle strength, balance, co-ordination and much more. Reformer Pilates allows exercise in a horizontal plane of motion and not vertically loaded and weight bearing.
Aerial Yoga
Aerial yoga combines the physical practice of yoga with elements of acrobatics through the use of a suspended hammock. The purpose of the hammock is to help you improve flexibility and build strength, while allowing you to do more challenging poses without added pressure on your shoulders, spine, or head.
Gentle Flow Yoga
Gentle flow class moves slower and begins grounded with meditation and gentle movement building towards mild to moderate flow. Great for beginners or those new to yoga as well as a terrific solution for stress and anxiety relief. A highlighted mention of an animal or plant totem coupled with chakra awareness is used to enhance connection and clear energy. This practice encourages individuals to go at their own pace and explore poses in a manner that honors their level.
Pilates Mat
Mat Pilates is a pilates training practice that can be done on a mat while holding movements like planks, side planks, and core exercises to build your muscle groups and strength. There are options to use bands, exercise balls, and sometimes even small weights to help level up your pilates experience.
Barre Physique
Barre engages muscles you wouldn’t normally target. With high-reps and low-impact movements, barre challenges anyone looking to fine-tune their muscles—no ballet experience required. Barre works on your lower body, while also toning arms. Your body will be working more efficiently to build core strength.
Mixed Pilates
Mixed Pilates may incorporate different types of pilates classes into a single class. It can include pilates mat, reformer, chair, and springboard. This type of class gives you a low impact cardio workout as well as increasing your core strength, stamina, balance, joint mobility, flexibility and mind/body awareness of movement.
Fit Fly Aerial
In fit fly, we focus on stretching, balance and strength training. This class combines a traditional TRX style workout with aerial yoga. It offers the opportunity to perform classic exercises while suspended or inverted on the hammock. This allows for assistances in strenuous moves while relieving pressure on the joints and building strength and flexibility.
